I was born and raised in Torrance, CA, a suburb outside Los Angeles. A modest upbringing, I saw my parents work non-stop to offer the life they felt fit for my brother and I. My mother, mirroring the path American culture pushes on us, went to college and immediately got a job with, I believe then it was Pacific Bell. Pacific Bell, or whatever you want to call it, changed names many times during my mother’s employment. From her, I learned loyalty and selflessness. She worked for Pac Bell, ATT, whatever it was that given year, for 36 years. This was the only job she ever had. Truly amazing as I’m 31 and have had more jobs than I could count. I got my entrepreneurship spirit from my father. A gutsy, never give up attitude propelled him in real estate, owning a RE/MAX at his peak. I saw him hit rock bottom and come back several times. An example of never give up at its finest.

Through my formative years, I experienced trials and tribulations I credit for making me the man I am today (I won’t go in too much detail about that here as I’m sure I’ll be talking about these in my writing). My wife and I went to High School together and eventually married at the ripe age of 24. Together, we have two amazing, energetic, passionate, and independent daughters: Kylee who is 11, and Khloee who is 3. We live in Copperas Cove, TX.mindful family

For the past seven years, I have been an active duty service member in the U.S. Army (my brother is also in the Army). I could write many times over about what the U.S. Military has done for me. It provided a foot hole for a driven, yet confused young man. I am an avid supporter in joining military service if you’re not quite sure what you want in life. Trust me, it will help you find it. My inherent ability to lead helped me advance quickly. Also, I don’t like complacency so I continuously looked for new challenges. Eventually, this led me to join a subsection in U.S. Army Special Operations. Currently, I am in Central America helping advance U.S. objectives by providing support to vulnerable populations. I know, sounds cliché, but it’s true. My love and patriotism for the U.S. goes beyond words. America truly is a dream, trust me. My passion for living my purpose has me separating from military service next year. I wouldn’t trade the time I spent serving my country for anything, period.

Personal growth is my passion. I always knew it, but was not conscious enough to realize it. Simply put, I love life! I love being a human being. I have developed a passion so genuine it would be a disservice to our species if I didn’t share. I mean that. My passion is to help others develop physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Balancing these four areas leads to a life full of fulfillment, joy, adventure, creativity, and happiness. This blog is my first step towards my dream of helping others find their passion in life. This is my beginning. After all, we all have to start somewhere.
